The Hojicha Shortcake was bound to make it to our menu. Hojicha is our founder's favorite flavor and this is why we make so many different types of pastries in hojicha flavor. Everything started many years ago when Joey was still in college and tried hojicha tea for the first time ever. It was love at first taste. Since then, she's always on the hunt for hojicha pastries to satisfy her own cravings. When she first came back to Hong Kong, there were rarely any hojicha pastries at all. This is when she first started developing her own, before she went to Le Cordon Bleu. With no pastry-making experience, everything was completely trial-and-error. 

Fast forward a few years, we're happy to finally launch our version of the Hojicha Shortcake.
